At BuildMetric (accessible from https://buildmetric.pages.dev), the privacy of our visitors is one of our core priorities. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected and recorded by BuildMetric and how we use it.

BuildMetric does not require user registration or account creation. All calculator computations (such as room measurements, material quantities, and waste percentages) are executed locally inside your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your project data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. Information We Collect

Because BuildMetric does not offer account logins, we collect minimal technical data necessary to operate, optimize, and secure the site:

  • Log Files: Like standard hosting providers, our hosting partner (Cloudflare) logs basic visitor requests, including internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and click metrics. These are not linked to personally identifiable information.
  • Contact Inquiries: If you contact us directly via our contact form or email, we may receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

3. Cookies and Web Beacons

BuildMetric may use standard session cookies to remember user preferences (such as selected unit systems: Imperial vs. Metric). You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

4. Google Analytics and Search Console Readiness

BuildMetric is configured for privacy-compliant traffic analytics. Where analytical cookies are implemented, IP addresses are anonymized and used exclusively to monitor aggregate site performance, popular calculation tools, and Core Web Vitals.

5. Advertising and Google AdSense

BuildMetric is designed to support future third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense. Third-party ad vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other websites on the Internet:

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to BuildMetric and other sites across the Internet.
